Your invoice data stays private

The generator and PDF creation run locally in your browser. Metricivo does not receive your business name, customer details, line items, logo, notes, or payment instructions. A draft is placed in your browser storage only when you select Save on this device.

What should an invoice include?

A typical invoice identifies the seller and customer, gives the document a unique invoice number, records the issue and supply dates where applicable, describes each item, shows prices and taxes, states the total due, and provides payment terms. Requirements differ between countries and business structures.

This tool provides flexible tax and registration fields, but it does not determine whether you must charge sales tax, VAT, GST, or HST. Confirm the rules that apply to your location and transaction.

How the totals are calculated

Each line amount equals quantity × rate. The subtotal is the sum of all line amounts. Percentage discounts are calculated from the subtotal; fixed discounts cannot reduce it below zero. Tax is applied after the discount. Shipping is taxed only when you select that option.

Total = subtotal − discount + shipping + tax

Invoice, estimate, and receipt differences

An invoice requests payment for goods or services. An estimate or quote describes an expected price before the work is approved. A receipt confirms that payment has already been made. Choose the document that matches the stage of the transaction.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. There is no account, watermark, or download charge.

Can I use it on a phone?

Yes. The editor and preview adapt to smaller screens, and the generated PDF uses a standard letter-size document layout.

Does Metricivo keep a copy?

No. Invoice generation happens in your browser. If you save a draft, it remains in that browser’s local storage until you delete it or clear the site’s stored data.

Is the invoice tax compliant?

No general invoice generator can guarantee compliance everywhere. Tax invoice requirements depend on jurisdiction, registration status, customer location, and transaction type. Review local requirements or ask a qualified adviser.
