Who pays the Venmo business fee?

The Business Profile owner pays the seller transaction fee. It is deducted from the customer's payment before the remainder reaches the business profile.

Does the buyer pay Venmo's 3% credit-card fee?

Venmo states that a customer paying a Business Profile by credit card is exempt from the standard 3% fee that can apply to some personal payments. The Business Profile owner still pays the applicable seller transaction fee.

Can a Venmo Business Profile fee be refunded?

Venmo says seller fees charged on payments received from another Venmo account are not refundable. Treat the fee as a transaction cost when estimating profit or deciding what to charge.

How do you calculate a Venmo business fee?

Multiply the customer payment by the percentage rate and add the fixed fee. For a direct payment, that is payment × 1.9% + $0.10. Tap to Pay uses the separate rate shown in the calculator.
