Etsy fees used by this calculator
Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee per item listed or auto-renewed after sale and a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrapping. For a U.S. bank account, Etsy Payments processing is 3% + $0.25 on the sale total, including shipping and applicable sales tax.
Rates checked September 12, 2026 against Etsy's official Fees & Payments Policy and payment-processing table.
Example: a $100 U.S. order
With one listing, no shipping, tax, ads, or conversion, the estimate is $0.20 listing + $6.50 transaction + $3.25 processing = $9.95 total fees, leaving $90.05.
Example: a $100 item with $10 shipping and $8 sales tax
The listing fee is $0.20, the transaction fee is $7.15, and U.S. payment processing is $3.79. Estimated total Etsy fees are $11.14, leaving a net payout of $98.86 after Etsy remits the sales tax.
Example: a $100 order attributed to a 15% Offsite Ad
With no shipping, tax, or conversion, the $15.00 Offsite Ads fee raises estimated total fees from $9.95 to $24.95, leaving $75.05 before product and shipping costs.
How Offsite Ads change Etsy fees
An attributed Offsite Ads order can add 15%, or 12% for shops that qualify for the reduced rate. Etsy caps the Offsite Ads fee at $100 per order. Select that fee only when the order is attributed to Offsite Ads.
How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?
For the simple U.S. example above, Etsy fees total approximately $9.95, or 9.95% of the item price. Shipping, sales tax, multiple quantities, Offsite Ads, currency conversion, regulatory fees, and other seller costs can increase the total.
Does Etsy charge transaction fees on shipping and sales tax?
The 6.5% transaction fee applies to the item price plus shipping and gift wrapping. For a U.S. seller, Etsy excludes sales tax from that transaction-fee base, but Etsy Payments processing includes applicable sales tax.
How do multiple quantities affect Etsy listing fees?
Etsy charges the $0.20 listing or auto-renew-sold fee for each quantity sold. Selling three units from one listing therefore produces an estimated $0.60 in listing fees. Enter the quantity sold so the calculator includes those renewals.
